The SHA was founded in 1964. We are a non profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Our collection of documents and artifacts, many of which were donated, are a testament to the history of Spotsylvania and our citizens.

Exhibits
The SHA partners with the Spotsylvania County Museum to house and display many of our artifacts.
Our historical documents are stored at their Records Collection Division on the Museum campus. The Museum is located at 6159 Plank Road (Route 3)

Whether your interest is genealogical or historical research; lectures, workshops , festivals, or children's hands-on activities, the SHA hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
